The assistance of the Secretary-General to the third round, held in Rabat from 15 to 16 January, aims to promote and facilitate the new fisheries agreement between the EU and Morocco. This agreement is of great importance to the Government of Spain and therefore it is representing the interests of the fishing fleet.

The revival of the negotiations is the priority of Minister Arias Caete. In recent months, the head of the Department has had several meetings with his Moroccan counterpart and with officials of the European Commission, among others, to quickly close, a new agreement.
