Government Satisfied with EU-Morocco Agreement Progress

SPAIN - The Secretary General of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Carlos Dominguez, has praised the pace and progress made in the fourth round of fishing negotiations between the European Union and Morocco, both in political and in the technical and financial terms.

At the end of the fourth round of meetings in Brussels, to promote the conclusion of a new fisheries agreement, Carlos Dominguez, expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of the technical aspects.

The Secretary General of Fisheries has highlighted the interest of both parties quickly conclude the agreement, with a fifth round to be held in Rabat 11-12 February, during which the draft final text will be agreed.

The government has urged the Commission to establish and implement the new protocol, which could reach about 125 boats participating.
