The Norwegian veterinary authority sent Follow Up report No. 3 dated 11 February to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The report describes the outbreak starting on 6 February at a saltwater farm with 113,951 Atlantic salmon kept in a semi-open system; 3,166 of the fish died.
Using a scale from zero to 5, both morbidity and mortality were scored 2.
The source of infection was reported to be contact with an infected neighbouring establishment.
