According to Ms Barros Neto, who was speaking at the opening of the "National Conference of marine research" in order to maintain this balance it is essential to observe best practices and invest more in research and development, reports AngolaPress.

He said that the investment should be extended to the spread of knowledge about the oceans, fisheries management and aquaculture, as well as new technologies that aim to benefit the ecosystem and minimize risk.

The Cabinet minister defended the definition of policies and measures for the recovery of resources and the deepening of knowledge on environmental variability and dynamics of resources.

He warned of the need to foster scientific exchange and implementation of research projects in the areas of conservation and restoration of natural "habitat" to reduce vulnerability and increase resilience to climate change impacts.
