National Communal Aquaculture Forum Begins

ANGOLA - The first National Artisanal Fishing and Communal Aquaculture begins today (4-5 July), in the Public Administration National School (ENAD), in Luanda.

AllAfrica.com reports that according to a press release that ANGOP had access to, the meeting, promoted by the Ministry of Fisheries, aims at establishing the interconnection of various players in the subsector of artisanal fishing and communal aquaculture to share methods of work and other experiences.

The document states that maritime and continental fishing have played an important role in increasing the supply of fresh fish to the formal and informal markets, through organized fishermen in cooperatives.

For the first edition of the forum, the organizers chose the theme "Artisanal Fishing, Fishing and Aquaculture Communal Future, New Field of Opportunities".
