In addition, it has been proven that PD-virus was also suspected at an additional 28 sites.
During 2012, two different subtypes of PD-virusses were identified. SAV3-type has been detected in 96 cases from the Storfjord, and areas along the coastline south of Storfjord, and also at a single location in the Alta Fjord in Finnmark. SAV2 subtype has been detected in 43 localities from Romsdalsfjord up to Jssund area of Nord-Trndelag, and at a single locality in Kvalsundet in Troms.
