From 23 to 27 May, the second meeting of the project, led by NIOF (National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries of Egypt) was held in Senegal.
The meeting reviewed planning activities for 2014; advancing sustainability indicators defined by the project, a review of the implementation plans of management models and improvement of existing facilities.
To increase the level of knowledge for tilapia production in Senegal, visits were made to ??sites in the country and labs and facilities were visited in Dakar to see how a network of institutions that can contribute to supporting the improvement of aquaculture in Senegal can be established.
