Asia Pacific Counctires Cut Tuna Catch

GENERAL - Asia Pacific countries are cut catches of big-eye tuna fish by 30 per cent.

The move to conservce fish stocks in teh region comes in a jojnt initiative by 25 countries inn teh region.

The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Association include Australia, Fiji, United States, Canada, New Zealand Japan and South Korea among others.

The reduction in the catch follows measures take in Europe and Russia to restrict catches.
