One Case of ISA Found in Chile

CHILE - The Chilean National Marine Fisheries Service (SERNAPESCA) has reported there is one outbreak of Infectious Salmon Amaemia in the 11th Region.

The authorities are also investigating 13 other sustpected cases of non-pathogenic strains of the disease.

The company involved, Acuimag, has destroyed the infected population.

The authorities are screening the facilities for a farming broodstock of salmon at another site that has been found positive for ISA.
