At that meeting, the head of the sector highlighted the importance that Peru applies international health standards for the exports through internal control, protecting the health of consumers.

For his part, Commissioner Dalli stressed the good relations between Peru and the EU in meeting an agreement.

The meeting showed the commitment of both parties to overcome the technical difficulties presented in the shortest possible time, allowing the restoration of the flow of exports of live bivalve molluscs from Peru to the European Union.
