A group of artisanal fishermen who initially visited the department to chat with the Regional Director of Sernapesca, and the Zonal Director of Subpesca, destroyed a large number of official documents, furniture and a vehicle. They also attacked and threatened several officials.
Mr Burgos said that never before has a group of fishermen acted with this level of violence against officials who have just done their job.
