Crustaceans Sustainability Economics +3 more

GLOBAL - Anti dumping measure on shrimp products from Viet Nam and the US Country of Origin Labelling rules are among the topics to be discussed at the next meeting of the World Trade Organisation Disputes Settlement Body.

The US is to report on the anti dumping measures for the Vietnamese shrimp products.

The US will also report on how it has implemented the recommendations of the Disputes Settlement Body on its Country of Origin Labelling regulations.

Earlier this year, the World Trade Organisation Appellate Body upheld a November 2011 Dispute Settlement Panel ruling that US Mandatory Country of Origin Labelling discriminates against imported livestock and is inconsistent with US trade obligations.

The Disputes Settlement Body will meet on 31 August.
