The reform aims to improve the socio-economic situation of the fisheries and aquaculture sector, through the recognition of equality of opportunity and treatment between men and women, as well as enhancing their economic diversification.
The project also represents a decisive step forward in the fight against illegal fishing and the legal framework was significantly strengthened.
