US to Maintain AD Duties on Vietnamese Shrimp Export

VIET NAM - The US Department of Commerce said the revocation of anti-dumping (AD) order on certain frozen warmwater shrimp from Vi?t Nam would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping.

This was the conclusion of the department’s five-year sunset review published in a notice by the International Trade Administration on January 30 on the website federalregister.gov.

“We determine that revocation of the AD Order on certain frozen warmwater shrimp from Vi?t Nam would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping at weighted average margins up to 25.76 per cent,” the notice said.

This would mean that certain Vietnamese shrimp exporters would continue to have anti-dumping duties imposed on them.
