According to the notice sent by the Federal Official Gazette, the DOC has decided to Viet Nam's shrimp exports, as follows:
- Minh Qui Seafood Co. (Ming Qui Seafoods Co. Ltd.) 7.88 per cent
- Nha Trang Seafood Company (Nha Trang Seaproduct Co.) 1.15 per cent
- For all other companies: 4.52 per cent
The decision has been seen as unfair as businesses are operating under market mechanisms and do not receive state subsidies for production activities.
This decision, along with the anti-dumping tax on Viet Nam shrimp imported into the United States is an unfair decision said VASEP, hitting two taxes on the same product and directly affect the lives of More than 600,000 people.
