ICELAND - Total catch of Icelandic vessels in July 2012 was 112,855 tonnes compared with103,424 tonnes in July 2011.

Demersal species accounted for 24,300 tonnes, thereof cod 10,300 tonnes, haddock 2,000 tonnes, redfish 2,700 tonnes and saithe 4,900 tonnes. The pelagic catch was around 85,200 tonnes.

At constant prices the volume of the catch increased by 13.4 per cent in July 2012 compared with July 2011.
